L’iscrizione alla scuola d’infanzia statale è riservata ai bambini di età compresa fra i tre e i sei anni. La frequenza è possibile solo in caso di assolvimento degli obblighi vaccinali.

Who it is intended for

Enrolment in the municipal kindergarten for the school year 2023-2024 is reserved for children between the ages of three and six and, in particular, for children who were under the age of six on the 31^st of December 2023, who are at least three years old on the 30^th of April 2024 and who are resident in the town or are the children of at least one parent working in the town. Attendance is only possible if vaccination requirements have been met.

La scuola dell’infanzia concorre all’educazione e allo sviluppo affettivo, psicomotorio, cognitivo, morale e sociale dei bambini promuovendone le potenzialità di relazione, autonomia, creatività, apprendimento e mira ad assicurare un’effettiva uguaglianza delle opportunità educative. Nel rispetto del ruolo educativo dei genitori, contribuisce alla formazione integrale dei bambini e, nella sua autonomia e unitarietà didattica e pedagogica, realizza la continuità educativa con il nido e con la scuola primaria.

Description

The kindergarten contributes to the affective, psychomotor, cognitive, moral, and social education and development of children by promoting their relationship, autonomy, creativity and learning potential and aims to ensure effective equality of educational opportunities. While respecting the educational role of parents, it contributes to the integral formation of children and, in its autonomy and didactic and pedagogical unity, achieves educational continuity with the nursery and primary school.

In the school year 2023-2024, the municipal nursery schools (nursery school + kindergarten) Cuccioli and Casa dei Bimbi allow attendance in the period between September 2023 and June 2024 in the normal time slot 08:00-13:00 or in the extended time slot 08:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday for a total of 30 places available.

The detailed calendar with opening and closing dates and personalised arrangements for new entrants will be communicated at the beginning of the school year.

During the application phase it will be possible to indicate the preferred facility and timetable (normal or extended), which will actually be assigned on the basis of actual availability and ranking order.

How to enrol

The service involves an initial application for admission to the municipal kindergarten. The application is submitted by one of the child’s parents (or guardians) and indicates the preferred facility and timetable. The actual assignment of the requested facility and timetable will depend on availability, based on the position in the ranking list.

The application period for kindergarten for the school year 2023-2024 is from 1 January to 28 February 2023. After that date, the administration will compose a ranking list (graduatoria) based on ISEE and certain characteristics of the family unit indicated by the parent when submitting the application (see the scoring table (tabella di assegnazione dei punteggi) for the school year 2023-2024).

At the beginning of March each parent will be notified of the publication of the ranking list. Admission in the ranking list of children who turn 3 years old in the period from 1 January to 30 April 2024 (so-called “early starters”) will be determined following a specific socio-educational assessment prior to admission.

Parents of children in the first 30 positions in the ranking list will receive a message inviting them to confirm their children’s enrolment in the facility at the times proposed by the administration by 31 March 2023, including some additional information regarding the presence of special educational needs, specific dietary requirements, food intolerances and authorisation to audiovisual recordings of school activities, the decision to attend or not Catholic religious education and their preferences in the case of choosing not to follow that class.

Parents of children not admitted – and therefore on the waiting list – may be contacted – on the basis of the order of the ranking list – to fill any remaining vacancies. They must then confirm their enrolment as described above.

During the course of the school year, and only in the event of vacancies not covered by the first ranking list, a second phase of application may be launched. The applications will be examined and used to create a second ranking list according to the procedures and criteria described above.
