L’Incanto di S. Rocco, la tradizionale asta benefica che dura da quasi 180 anni.
La meraviglia delle nostre tradizioni, tenute vive da volontari e dal popolo gambarese.
Ogni anno, dopo la funzione religiosa, nella piazzetta alle spalle della chiesa del Suffragio, lo spiazzo viene illuminato e corredato da poltroncine disposte ai piedi di un palco improvvisato da cui l’imbonitore, Mario Sedassari, con abilità e sagacia racconta le qualità dei prodotti che poi vengono messi all’asta. Quadri, dolci, fiori e tanto altro viene offerto gratuitamente da fedeli, aziende e cittadini proprio per questa tradizione d’agosto.
Uno spettacolo più che una semplice asta, fatto di improvvisazioni, aneddoti e tante risate. Il vero protagonista resta però l’altruismo. Il ricavato sarà poi destinato alle opere della parrocchia.

The Enchantment of St. Rocco is the traditional charity auction that has lasted for almost 180 years.
The marvel of our traditions kept alive by volunteers and the people of Gambara.
Every year, after the religious service, in the small square behind the Suffragio church, the space is illuminated and furnished with armchairs arranged at the foot of an improvised stage from which the barker, Mario Sedassari, with great ability and sagacity recounts the qualities of the products that will be auctioned. Paintings, sweets, flowers and much more are offered free of charge by believers, companies and citizens for this August tradition.
A show rather than a simple auction, made up of improvisations, anecdotes and lots of laughs. The real protagonist, however, is altruism. The proceeds will be donated to the works of the church.
